This is a handspun cake of 100% Shetland wool from our foundation ram Hamish. Hamish is a dual coated light grey Katmoget 2020 ram. He is a well mannered ram who takes good care of the flock, is kind to the ewes and gentle with the lambs. He enjoys scratches on his rump.

His fleece is medium to long in staple length, medium to fine, micron count, and has spring and crimp. It spins up to a light oatmeal color.

This is handspun 2 ply DK to heavy weight . I have several cakes of various weights and yardage available.

Minimally processed, by a local mill and spun at home. We do not coat our sheep so, this yarn may have a ‘bit’ of vegetable matter, guaranteeing to you our commitment to the most natural yarn we can produce with the lowest carbon footprint.
