This is a handspun cake of 100% Shetland wool from Gealach our Black 2021 ewe. Gealach is a dual coated black 2021 ewe. She and Grian are Enya’s first twin daughters. She has her mothers kind disposition and always seeks me out for scritches. She is a great momma , full of milk and attentive to her lambs.

His fleece is medium in staple length, medium micron count, and is deep lustrous black .

This is handspun 2 ply DK to heavy weight . I have several cakes of various weights and yardage available.

Minimally processed, by a local mill and spun at home. We do not coat our sheep so, this yarn may have a ‘bit’ of vegetable matter, guaranteeing to you our commitment to the most natural yarn we can produce with the lowest carbon footprint.
