Charcoal Heather Shetland Cake

Charcoal Heather Shetland Cake
This is a handspun cake of Shetland Wool from the neck and britch wool of Hamish .Hamish is a grey Katmoget , which is a pattern of Shetland sheep that has a light grey back with a dark black ,belly and underside, and badger face.. Around his neck and down his britch or back side it is also black. I like to seperate the light areas from the dark and spin them seperately. These colors made a nice charcoal grey heathered yarn, that could be a nice contrast band with his oatmeal colored nnatural fleece.
This is handspun 2 ply DK weight .
Minimally processed, by a local mill and spun at home. We do not coat our sheep so, this yarn may have a ‘bit’ of vegetable matter, guaranteeing to you our commitment to the most natural yarn we can produce with the lowest carbon footprint.
